At the center of every great rescue is a team of fabulous volunteers with foster parents being the Hearts and Hands of rescue.
You provide the home, love, and structure and let us do the rest! We will provide you with food, supplies, and vetting so you can just focus on helping your foster paw blossom!
Please reach us at info@peanutbutterpaws.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
It happens! We understand. The great news is that as a Peanut Butter Paws foster, you get 'first dibs' on the dog you are fostering. When an application comes in that is a great fit for your foster, it will be presented to you for perusal. If you decide you have fallen head over heels already and can't imagine life without your foster, then you get priority placement to adopt your foster baby! Of course, you don't have to wait for an application to come in - if you fall in love, let us know that you would like to adopt your foster baby!
Yes. While currently Peanut Butter Paws does not hold regular adoption events, there will be occasions where we will have them and showcase our fabulous pups. It is ideal that you bring your foster so that you can best answer any questions that might arise from potential adopters. If, however, it is not possible to attend, then arrangements can be made so that your foster can be present for the event, even if you are unable to be there. If it is too hard for you to stay, we understand that, too. Just drop your foster off and return to pick your foster up after the adoption event.
No. While we hope this never happens, your foster will need to be seen by one of the vets that is affiliated with Peanut Butter Paws Rescue. Because we are a non-profit organization, we need to rely on the excellent rescue vets we have contracted with who go above and beyond to support what we are trying to do in saving lives. Rest assured, your foster will get the vetting and care it needs, but we must first try to utilize the vets who are dedicated to the plight of these abandoned and neglected dogs. You would first need to contact PBP and then an appointment will be scheduled. If you are unable to take your foster yourself, then we will arrange for transport to and from the veterinarian.
